Getting Started with Dreamiary

Dreamiary is a dream journal and lucid dreaming app that helps you capture, understand, and explore your dreams. Record dreams with text or voice, get AI powered interpretations, track mood patterns, and build a searchable archive of your dream life.

Available on Android and iOS.

Recording Your First Dream

The best time to record a dream is right after waking up, while the details are still fresh.

  1. Open Dreamiary and tap the + button to create a new dream entry.
  2. Type or speak your dream. You can write a description or use voice recording to capture it hands free. Voice entries are automatically transcribed.
  3. Add emotions. Select the emotions you felt during the dream. This helps Dreamiary track your mood patterns over time.
  4. Tag symbols. Mark any notable symbols (people, places, objects) that appeared. These feed into your personal dream symbol library.
  5. Save your entry. Your dream is now part of your journal and fully searchable.

Try to record something every morning, even if you only remember fragments. Consistency builds recall over time.

How Interpretation Works

After saving a dream, you can request an AI powered interpretation.

  1. Open a saved dream and tap Interpret.
  2. Dreamiary's AI analyzes your dream text, emotions, and symbols to generate a personalized interpretation.
  3. The interpretation covers themes, symbol meanings, and possible connections to your waking life.

Interpretations are generated on demand using your dream's full context. They are not generic lookups; each one is tailored to what you wrote and the emotions you tagged.

You can also explore the Dream Symbols Library to browse common dream symbols and their meanings independently of any specific dream.
